Seasonal round system
The galaxy runs in seasonal rounds—typically four weeks of real time. Each round has a defined start, mid-season pressure, and a finale where standings matter. When the timer expires, the campaign concludes and a new round begins with a refreshed sector state.
That rhythm keeps the game fair for newcomers while rewarding veterans who understand faction timing and resource curves. You are always playing the same ruleset as everyone else in the active season.
Factions and diplomacy
Major factions control trade routes, intel, and military leverage. Through the diplomacy screen you improve or damage standing with each power. Higher reputation unlocks mission types, favors, and story beats; hostile relations can close doors—or paint a target on your hull.
There is rarely one “correct” ally for an entire round. Shifting politics and round events may encourage you to hedge bets or commit hard to a single bloc for end-season rewards.
Missions
Missions are timed operations you assign to ships. You choose a contract, commit a hull, and wait for resolution—or intervene when combat encounters appear. Payouts include credits, materials, and progression hooks that feed the rest of your campaign.
Fleet composition matters: damaged ships need repair before they are mission-ready. Balancing risk (harder missions, better loot) against downtime is a core commander skill.
Mining and resources
Asteroids and sector nodes provide ore and fuel for upgrades, travel, and upkeep. Mining actions consume time and sometimes ship capacity, so efficient commanders schedule extraction between missions rather than letting assets sit idle.
Running out of resources mid-round slows every other system. Treat mining as logistics, not a side quest—it funds your diplomacy gambits and military pushes.
Sectors, combat, and travel
The map is divided into sectors. Traveling opens new mining and mission opportunities but spreads your attention. Combat encounters—whether from missions or sector events—resolve through the battle system with outcomes that affect ship integrity and round standing.
Command progression
Your commander profile advances as you complete objectives, claim rewards, and survive the round. Daily rewards, briefings, and inbox messages keep you informed of world events that may require immediate decisions.
Progress persists across rounds even when the sector resets, so long-term planning—learning mission chains, faction quirks, and optimal mining loops—pays off season after season.
